Solo Show: Tales From India April 2012
The exhibit, “Tales from India”, is a collection of photographs from South India depicting a typical day in an elephant camp, landscapes and traditional dance forms.
The elephant photographs show a wildlife conservation effort and highlight a new sustainable social life that has emerged between elephants and humans. The landscape photographs present high-dynamic-range images that were captured and processed to bring out the details, yet keeping the natural look. The two traditional dance forms include ‘Yakshagana’ and ‘Kathakali’. This, of course, is a small fraction of cultural mosaic that India is.
